Greenwich & Lewisham Young People’s Theatre (GLYPT) has an established reputation, built over 45 years, as a leading creator of accessible and innovative participatory and performance work for young people.
GLYPT runs an extensive participatory programme including 18 weekly workshops in drama, dance and radio, for ages 2-25. GLYPT also delivers participatory education and outreach projects, and produces professional theatre touring schools and at its venue, The Tramshed in Woolwich.
Front of House Duty Managers
We are looking for dynamic FOH Duty Managers to be an integral part of both our company and venue: The Tramshed in Woolwich!
The successful candidate will welcome people into the venue; register young people in to workshops; administer box office sales; take payments; support with evening hires; help the public with enquiries and provide administrative support to the staff team.
We are looking for one or two motivated and organised individuals who have a high level of customer care with a though and organised approach to their work. Though we are looking for ideally candidates with some experience of working in a similar role, this is a wonderful opportunity to join a vibrant arts venue and develop your customer service and admin skills.
The role would suit someone with an ambition or interest in working in an arts or community venue and looking to develop skills in: duty management /arts administration and a passion for working in a venue.
Terms: Shift work, to be rotated on a monthly basis.
Salary: £9.75 per hour
Hours: Flexible Hours (zero hours contract). Initially the role will start with two evening shifts a week: Mondays 5.15-8.45pm & Wednesday 5.15 -8.15pm and a Sunday shift from 9.45am-1.15pm. Hours may increase to more evenings per week and there maybe additional weekend shifts available.

Freelance Project Tutor/Therapist
We are seeking a HCPC, UKPC or BACP registered therapist with significant experience of working with vulnerable children and young people and a strong interest in drama or the arts. Knowledge of Special Educational Needs and experience of working with young people with diverse support needs and disability would be advantageous.
Working alongside our Drama based Arts Tutor and under the guidance of our Participation Manager, you will take responsibility for planning and delivery of this programme, engaging members in a variety of arts activities and helping to support young people’s development in relation to the three key areas: self-esteem, communication and social skills.

Trustees and Development Board Members
With its ongoing capital project for the refurbishment of the Tramshed (our base). GLYPT are looking for new Development Board Members and Trustees. We are particularly looking for legal expertise, finance and project management particularly within a capitol development project framework.
We are interested in both new trustees for a longer term commitment to the company Board but also members to join the development for an 18 month period to support the realisation and delivery of our capital refurbishment of the Woolwich Tramshed.
